I had to uninstall by TW MEdieval II and when I go to reinstall it says a movie error or something to that effect, anyways the download stops and there is nothing. Any suggestion or input would be greatly appreciated.

We'll need a bit more than that to help you. Why did you uninstall, was the game not working properly before? How are you trying to reinstall, sounds like a Steam download? What is the exact message you are getting, and how far into the download/reinstall is it?

It gets well into the second disk on install and is installing music files (I think) when it comes up with an error stating something like redundancy error cyclical ??? error. Unfortunately I don't have it in front of me. I uninstalled it because when I would go to play Kingdoms, it would not load and told me I had to install TW M2 first. I first would try to re-install over the top and I got he error. So I uninstalled thinking that would "fix it." I also uninstalled Kingdoms thinking that would help, but it didn't. ughhh!!!

Are you installing from discs or from a download? Your first post sounds like a download, while the second sounds like a disc. If it's from a disc, check to see if the discs are clean. If there's a smudge or a scratch, it could be causing the install to fail due to an inability to read certain files.

Try cleaning the discs and looking for scratches. It works best with a microfiber cloth, such as the kind that is used to clean eye glasses.

Thank you that worked. Who would have thought that something as simple as wiping the disc down would fix the problem.

I'm glad I could help! I had similar issues many years ago with Sid Meier's Gettysburg. In that case, I had a major scratch I had to remove, but was able to do so and get it to play. I guess this is one of those issues which will disappear entirely over the next few years. Younger generations will think we were nuts to ever use physical media.
