View Full Version : RIP Neil Armstrong.
America has lost a true hero.
A man that took true risks in the effort of space exploration.
May his memory live on for long after this passing.

Only Buzz Aldrin remains.
But what happened to him in all the confusion?

A true hero. What every little boy wanted to be in the 60s.
A legend. R.I.P.

Rest in Peace Neil. You kept the small step for yourself and gave the giant leap to all of us.

I love Neil Arnstrong!... No but seriously RIP Neil. A phenomenal achievement in the history of humanity.
R.I.P. Mr Armstrong. Just like the moon, your landing line was cheesy. None of that matters though, you did it for all of us and for that we thank you brave sir.

Caught up in the ME3 ending saga?...
Hard to believe that two men were sent safely from Earth to the moon and back again with late '60s technology. Amazing, really. Here is the undelivered speech (http://watergate.info/1969/07/20/an-undelivered-nixon-speech.html) President Nixon prepared for the possibility that they would either die in a crash or be unable to leave the moon.
Also note that some people have not gotten hip to the Org tradition of neither trashing nor politicizing a death (http://gawker.com/5937942/fox-news-analyst-reminds-us-what-neil-armstrongs-death-is-really-about-obama-spreading-islam) until after the funeral.

Oh wow, that was quite a moving speech. Thank god we never had to hear it, in fact, I'm overwhelmed with glee that we never had to hear it.
On a side note, it makes me feel sorry for the 'Lost Cosmonauts' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Cosmonauts).

Nah, literature (http://contemporarylit.about.com/od/fiction/fr/Buzz-Aldrin-What-Happened-To-You-In-All-The-Confusion.htm) I'm afraid...
