Ave was the vanila roster prety accurate for the most part like the greeks and that? i've been wondering this for ahwile i mean sure it's got a few inaccuracies here and there but for the most part is it accurate?

That depends on what your idea is of pretty accurate. It is linked by what you personally find important to be reflected, you personal knowledge on the matter if such even exists,...

certainly there were historical elements, fantastical elements, medium imposed elements,...

I'm not one to judge what is good or bad. But we of Europa Barbarorum obviously united because we felt a different way of depiction would be more conform to our taste.

Well, put it this way - of the four units you posted, only the Velites are correct. All the others were incorrect in some way.

EB versions:

Militia Hoplites:
7176
Note: Overhand shorter spear, no greaves

Velites:
7177
Largely correct

Early Legionary Cohort:
7178
Older, rounded shield, earlier style bronze helmet with plume

Levy Pike Phalanx:
7179
Shield strapped to left arm, not held in the left hand - pike held in both hands.

And that's just the external appearance - not getting into the stats (overpowered Romans)
