View Full Version : You just can't make this up....
Pakistani Taliban claims it's being unfairly portrayed over the attempted murder of the 14 y.o.
:laugh4:
It would make me furious if it weren't so damn hilarious (http://news.yahoo.com/taliban-demands-unbiased-coverage-attempted-murder-14-old-190221609.html).
P.S. No, this is not The Onion.

They are upset not because they shot a 14 yr old girl in the face.
They are upset because they believe her wanting to get an education is unislamic and that the media isn't stating that.
No regieme prospers when they attack the weak and every people has a threshold. Look at the riots in Iran, Syria and North Africa. A lot of these have had as their sparks brutality and murder of children. With modern communications the word spreads fast and where it would have been shouldering resentment it now creates conflagrations.
Taliban need to get some education. Teach a man and you teach an individual, teach a woman and you teach a generation. Taliban are shooting themselves in the foot in more ways then one.

Man, these guys are really dropping the ball. They did such a wonderful job running Afghanistan, and then later the SWAT valley. I'm really surprised they did not win the Peace Prize this year.
Maybe next year, I bet a few in the commision are already in favour

The only thing they regret is that she's not dead. Dead people don't make a good news story. They han't have a heroic recovery based in the UK, can give interviews, go to school etc.
Religious extremists of all flavours are like a cancer. They can be treated in several ways, but excision often is the most long lasting.
