Spocean is this unique indie game that allows players to play as a cannoneer or navigator on a steam-punk like ship that the developers are calling wood-punk. The devs compare the game play to the style of Napoleonic naval battles with a mixture of wood-punk.

After a short amount of time playing I noticed that the gameplay offers a lot of room to use strategy in terms of winning the battles. Players are allowed to repair their ships and heal crew mates all while loading and firing cannons. Right now there are only 2 ships max per team since the game is in early alpha stages. To win in Spocean you need to board the enemy ship and balance the defense of your own ship with the assault on the enemy ship.

Grab your boots, fellow Spoceanauts — and make haste — for today is the day that we’ve been waiting for. Today is the day that we set sail into the Spocean.
The Spoceanlords here at Woodley Games deliver today a free alpha demo of their gnome-filled space-ocean first-person missile-puncher. Reborn from its original incarnation in the Unreal engine, this Unity-powered project is a game of team-based galleon-crewing warfare.

Replying or not replying to thread alone is no sign of no interest... Errm... Well, I think you get the picture, even if you disregard my double negations.

Personally, I thought "fancy project, but I got too many current games and can't focus on any incoming titles in work". I also thought that it reminded me vaguely of Gun of Icarus Online, with airships and steampunk-ish setting.

I like the artwork and concept. Just no particular interest in a game that looks solely multi-player.
