Although I was looking forward to seeing your reverse AS migration
Would never ever ever have done this years ago as romani were beat to death at one point on this forum with redundant threads and flame wars.

For what it is worth, does anyone have the 5.1b version of City mod for the minimod? The link is dead. On the same note, does anyone have the Alex.exe version of the minimod?

I am now caught up with the after action report on my hard drive which is still about 5 years behind my actual game. Soon I can play the game again.

Though i´ve been playing more then one Roman campain myself, i pretty much enjoy your AAR without getting bored, moriluk. The combination of event descriptions with screenshots in a single picture makes it very easy to follow the stories, though i´m usualy not a big friend of a "comic style" ( so to say ). I also quite agree with changes like removing the year requirements for the reforms to take place, and the "Legionary Name" attribute for your troops. I, for myself, always wanted to edit the merc files to allow the Romans to hire their factional troops as mercenaries, but this would mostly make sence when SPQR is controlled by AI ( to sylbolize the ease, and the advantage, of the Romans in raising legions in short period of time, and not seeing their armies mostly made up of Greek and Celtic warriors ), but mercs on RTW engine can´t be faction specific, pity. Keep up the writings, and good luck.

what program do you use to get those awesome tints and blurs on your pictures?
@ vollerix "comic style" is sort of what this is. And the funny thing is I don't even like comic books.
As for the other stuff you mentioned I am using the minimod. Most of the cool changes were done by konny and Darth Stalin.
@Seleucid, I am using power point 2010. A feature called artistic effect. which is quite fun and easy to use.

Thank you for this nice AAR. I like the style and wish you all the best in keeping up the good work.
Although it seems to be a typical Romani campaign, it proves to be quite entertaining.
I was going to just post images from imageshack as I am tired of the loading pics. Kinda lame. But imageshack doesn't seem to be working right now. Perhaps next post...
I am in 204 BC, the aar is in 220's. Slowly getting there. I guess it wasn't built in a day. I was grooming an awesome young guy to be my marian wannabe but his grandfather stole the spotlight. I forgot it is only Augustus who needs to be faction heir.

I have tons more but will stop for now.
Just for the hell of it I will list how I have the game set up
city mod variant a
added most of the civilized capitols to the huge list. Also added Syracuse, Judea, the Transylvania city, one or two cities in Egypt, Parthia, & the northern Indian city. Also Susa or Ekbatana - which ever is not already. I left off Epeiros for some reason. I added a few more large cities too. Also Capua to get MOT
1.2 minimod pack (Lz3) rtw version
bi installer (adds some bi features, giant trees removed, ai win conditions, & fixes)
allowed celts to recruit the celtic tab style units
cute wolf unit fixes
reduced 2nd celtic reform city requirement to 1.
movement is at 160
extended unit info mod
deleted time conditions for Roman reforms
and of course vanilla sea.

Really nicely made AAR. I love how you just put it all in the pictures, it's much easier to keep track and more hmm ... dynamic?
Off topic: How did you get to have the detailed information of each unit in the unit description in EB? I mean morale, attack range, that sort of thing. :inquisitive:
thanks. this http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=499055
For fun just started watching hbo rome again. made me remember that last time i watched it, right after i bought this game as it had just dropped to $20. I was told it would be "well worth the money". One of the best $20 I've spent for entertainment. The only other games I've played for many years require you to buy a new one for $60 every year or so.

slowly catching up to the game. now in 196bc. some bad crashes between 207 and 202 were unfun with autowin redoes and repeat micromanagement. But it is starting to be fun again. Sad there will be no war with Parthia. Sweboz have distant territories secured which is good as I can keep them alive to use later.
Oh. I think I have exceeded my quota for a thread. I didn't realize. It didn't happen on my others. I was almost to the fireworks factory too.

I love your aars moriluk but opening the pictures can be such a pain at times :L
ya. i will continue this at somepoint. but my imageshack seems to be broken. at some point i will create a new one & I will just load the pics from there and will not have to have each one load individually. I have tons more done but everything is on the shelf for now.
