It is instead, a sandwich with tomato sauce.

Harumph

This is what counts as backroom material these days, huh?

A sandwich by any other name

Would surely taste as sweet.

You're right I should have posted large blocks of nonsensical, non contextualized text in order to support my sandwich position

I could then have bolded the parts which I felt really lent credence to my argument, no matter how small and lacking context

Good Pizza is both rich and firm. I don't want some floppy, over-the-top monstrosity that can't even be eaten comfortably.

Rich....firm....floppy......are we talking about a pizza or something else?

a completely inoffensive name

Only fascists try to enforce their definition of pizza on others.

Mister, we may talk about a bunch of crazy smeg in the backroom but at least we have the decency to pathetically attempt to pretend we arent so crazy convoluted and lazy so as to put off rational thought!
Total relism may be on the other end of the spectrum but that doesnt make his or your posts any less rediculous.

And this might actually be relevent if this was actually the backroom, not sure what happened there.

Most dishes evolved over time and these days there are few which are truly national, so definitions tend to be loose... pizza is simply a flat bread with a topping of some sort...

Wasn't there a thread about this, years ago?

In any case, never had a chance to try it. Too much tomato sauce from the looks of it though.

I agree with Strike, we are definitely talking something else in the case of the Chicago Style.

well, it helps that this is actually in the front-room...As far as can be told, it's always been here since it was first posted.

Anyhow: Chicago Style Pizza: Sandwich or not, I believe firmly that I am more than have the appetite for it right now. heck, good food in general. Of course, modifications to the item are necessary to accommodate dietary considerations, but It's all good either way. I don't think it matters all that much--as long as Bacon is uninvolved, since Bacon in any form is an abomination.

Now, If only someone would hire me by now, I might get to enjoy good food again! but no, several dozen job applications later, and I'm here complaining about it.

It's more of a tart than a sandwich, and BTW, is totally AWESOME!!!!!!
