The hardest part is finding someone on steam who doesn't already have dota 2. ~:(

You can actually sell them on Steam.. the issue is.. they are currently selling for 2 cents.

I put 2 up for $20. Let's see if someone buys them.

Meanwhile, I still have 21 Dotas to give away.

I can't bring myself to even bother installing it, wading into that hostile MP cesspool holds zero interest for me.

Someone linked me to a place with free DotA. Must have.

Meh. Tried it, can't do it after LoL. Must be a preference thing. The lack of tutorial was a bit jarring.

You need a tutorial for DotA?

In order to play without being a complete handicap to your team? Well, yeah.

This topic is evil, I have had some people be sincerely grateful for receiving DotA2 from me, it just makes me look like I have been insincere with them. :laugh4:

At least Valve set the pricing correctly. Free is spot on for the value of this game.

If they're giving these away for free, what's the point of the $30 price tag if you try to get it from the Steam Store?

El Barto

It's a strategy, the game's meant to be free, you're supposed to have played quite a bit and be raving to yoru friends about it and then you get a few freebeies and hadn them out, and the same'll happen with your friends and so on.

easytarget, please shut up.

I think that one comes with a number of in game cosmetic stuff, or something. That's one of the big things for dota 2 is that while it's basically free there's a lot of items you can buy for characters. Kind of like tf2. I dont really like dota-style games so the few codes I have are pretty wasted on me.

truth be told I dont even remember redeeming a code. It just said I had it one day. Crazy.

They plan to make money on DLCs apparently.
