Meteor over Russia

Happened early today.
Apparently the sonic boom as it came in was so loud it shattered windows and set off car alarms.

Also as far as I understand, this one apparently exploded in mid-air and sent shrapnel flying around, the sonic boom with the delay seems impressive indeed.

I keep forgetting you cant translate jokes very well over the internet. I realize this and the asteroid that is flying by this evening are totally seperate objects and probably unrelated in anyway except both coming from outer space. It was meant as a sarcastic joke and a play on the fact that a large object is flying by our planet today.

Apart from what Hax said, the bits that fell were never that big, the whole thing burned/exploded in mid-air and it was somewhere around 2m in diameter to begin with, I doubt it left any big impact craters.
