I just thought I would say. I stalk him online. His last name is Shankle, and today he turned 29

That young huh?

Happy birthday Shankle. :balloon:

It's true, I've been telling my underage war bride that I'm 29.

But I've been saying that for three freakin' years, so you'd think she would catch on.

This is me bringing sexy back:

I didn't know Lemur was that old.

I always thought of him as a virile, strong, but most of all young God.

29?

That's old enough to be a grandfather... (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3696059/A-dad-becomes-UKs-youngest-grandfather-at-29-after-his-daughter-gives-birth-at-just-14.html)

Shem and Kelly, of Bridgend, have both been supporting Tia as she watches over Ava Grace — the SIXTH generation of the family alive.

I thought he was in his 40s? Didn't he at some point relate a story of nearly being killed as a correspondent in an African warzone? Am I just imagining things?

Nah, that's entirely correct. I just turned 45, but when I remarried I hooked up with a woman 17 years my junior, which is a source of some scandal. Not a lot of scandal, but a little.

Our age difference is a running gag, so for my birthday I told all of my friends to back me up in claiming I was 29. Many LOLZ were had.

oh wow, a woman of 17 years named Junior. There is so much wrong with that I don't know where to begin :O

a completely inoffensive name

Happy Birthday Lemur.

Since this thread is a mixture of fact and fiction, I have to ask (due to plain curiosity, which it is completely OK if you do not satisfy), is your last name Shankle?

If it isn't then, then again, Happy Birthday Lemur. :beam:

My name is not Shankle ... but it could be, for the right price.

Happy Birthday! Almost to the big three-oh. Your bride will age with you however, the gap will seem less so as time passes.

*Puts down calculator*

Please assume the obligatory "lucky bastard" comment was made. There were 18 years between my grandparents - and he was about 40 when they married , so epic meh to "scandal".

Yeah, I don't entirely get it, but some people are really put off about our age difference. (Maybe some of the wimmenz think this is emblematic of being replaced by the younger model or something? And yet, the original Mrs. Lemur walked out on me and the kids, so it's not like I went shopping because I was bored and needed Young Flesh.)

The way I see it, we're both high-performing nerds, so what's the big deal? I can only imagine the looks we'd get if she were the elder. People are weird.

Moreover, unless someone tells you our age difference, I don't think it's obvious:

ice cream schlongs
Actually, those are frozen bananas. Never had one before that, but I felt obligated as an Arrested Development fan.

(They were really good, FWIW.)

You married someone with no recollection of the Reagan years. The music you grew up with is considered "the oldies" to her.

Major Robert Dump

Incidentally, that's not the only thing about Lemur she calls "the oldies"

I would have said you were over 40 and she's under 30.

So, yes, it is apparent but I've known 40+ year-old men with 16+ sons marry women under 20, so (again) meh.

If you were 35 and she 18, that would be different - but you aren't.

Plus, not like you're a fat man with no hair, is it?

Also, you look happy.
