So there was I, Fall of 266 BC, King of the Getai and I send a spy to Eburonum and I see the usual stacks of veteran barbarians but then I see one stack of Casse slingers, led by slinger general Beredos. I thought that was odd, so I keep my spy to see what happens to them, wondering if those slingers are somehow sent from the gods to take Eburonum from the Boii and establish a Casse colony in the middle of central Europe. Well, needless to say they were wiped out the next season, but I did have a chance to start trade relations with them. I am playing EB on ALX.exe, Medium Battles, Hard Campaign. I took a screenshot for those who don't believe me. But why the hell were the Casse so far from home? Was there some historical thing about the Casse ending up there or is it some game bug?

Most likely a diplomat bribed him and he's trying to march all the way to Britain...

Historically speaking, no there is no reason for the Casse to be this far inside Europe. The Gauls did make use of British mercs in the Gallic Wars but there is no historical or archaeological evidence to suggest Britons were ever in this region in the Iron Age. However some individuals may have made the journey; a Chalcolithic grave from Stonehenge was found to contain a male who had traveled from central Europe, and the famous Otzi the iceman was likewise a foreigner in the region he died in. Also the skull of a Barbary Ape was found in the 1st century BC Irish site of Emain Macha, so if monkeys could make the journey, humans could.

I believe it's a script bug. It's tied in with the Boii defense spawn. If you keep watch in that region those same slingers and general will spawn again and again

Yup, this is related to the central european defense script. They are supposed to be destroyed by the newly spawned army, but sometimes they get away and try to wander off.
