I don't need caffeine, I make sure I get enough sleep. Even if it means going to bed right after dinner.
I don't need sleeping pills, Ken Burns is on Netflix Instant Watch.
I don't need alcohol, well....maybe I do sometimes. Damn it, I was so close.

I've been drinking coffee since I was seven.
Was on call for nine years. So I've taken calls at dinner, in the shower "Yeah the connection is a little echo-e", at 3am, at the cinema, on my birthday and on my wedding day.
Two kids, one who is currently teething.
So sleep patterns weren't always controllable but coffee, water and exercise dosing certainly helped.
As for alcohol - Baileys makes a really decent substitute adult cough medicine and emergency milk for cereal.
I don't need them, but I want them.

My parents once told me that they got me to drink cow's milk by mixing in some coffee. I'm also told that I got drunk at a wedding when I was two: I had wandered off and found the drinks meant for the adults at the reception and apparently rather liked the taste of some of them.
I don't get overly excited about a "healthy" lifestyle.

Yay!
Kudos ACIN :)
Better living through chemistry may become a reality; half the people I know are on meds of some sort for heart, diabetes, mood and other day to day necessities. The rest just "self medicate".
May you never need a drug regime to live a normal, productive enjoyable life
I like to party from time to time, bit of cocaine isn't that much of a problem as long as you don't do it too much, great with sex. A bit of cannabis, nice to chill with. I do want my glass of wine daily though. Everything in moderation.
Nicotine, caffeine and lethargy if that is a drug.

As one druggie poet put it:
Lifting me up like a garage door
I need to feel it when the drug starts coming on
I know you Lord are a jealous lord
I know the tablet is your competition
And I need for you to be reasonable
I need for you to be reasonable
Everything in moderation. I don't need them either, but sometimes they're useful or nice to have.
I was just out partying (dancing salsa) and only drank water and coke. Now coke has some coffeine but I really drink it only for the sugar, which is my real addiction. :sweatdrop:
I don't even like the taste, I just want some energy.

I don't understand the people who use that crap, I think they WANT to die. In the Russia and eastern Europe they have something that's even more horrible, 'croc'. Look it up.
I did that on my own out of curiosity yesterday, the pictures it threw up for krokodil addicts were yummy.
Nothing I'd post here or would recommend to people with a sensible stomach. The meth addict above looks healthy in comparison.
As for the people who take it, they don't want to die from what I heard. Once saw a few short interviews of former addicts and they simply said they didn't believe the scare stories or thought it was really rare since noone in their club looked like this. Of course noone in their club looked like this because people who look like this can't go clubbing anymore. It's what you get for thinking the government always just wants to spoil your fun. ~;)
Glad it's just not here, it sounds vicious. There are a few heroin-addicts here but it's not a problem worth talking about

omg... that stuff is indeed horrible :O it literally rots off the flesh wtffffff

Yep. Why someone would do that stuff is beyond me, you know it's going to kill you in a very horrible way
Interesting fact: Methedrine, a pill-form of speed, was used by all sides during WWII. If you need to stay up for days, paranoid, and occasionally enter a killing rage its the perfect drug. I guess.
Yeah, I learned that a few months ago, how a lot of german soldiers were addicted to Pervitin as it was called. Package just seems to say it keeps you awake, like it's relatively harmless otherwise...
They also said US Air Force soldiers still have to sign contracts which demand that they take performance enhancing drugs whenever it is necessary for them to perform.

Yes, that is what I meant, the pictures are not pretty. And there are still people who take it because the pictures are obviously just government propaganda to spoil young peoples' fun, right? :clown:

Well.. I know that this is no joking matter but if thats the side effect of meth, I really need some to loose weight! :-)

You are bad at no joking matters ;)
I still have to insist it's a bit of a drastic aprouch, but hey if it works who are we to tell them it isn't very good for ya ;)

I drink Coffee for the taste of it (and I really drink a cup of coffee about once or twice a week) and I drink alcohol on an even more limited basis. 2cl of good whiskey ever other month or so and a beer or Radler whenever I feel like it... never been drunk during my whole life... And never missed it...
We are all addicted to something though, I think... The Internet can be a "drug" just as computer games, the TV, fitness or whatever you can think of (over)doing

I loved that guy in Lord of the Rings
That dude must have already been sick or heavily using. That is an almost unbelievable change for a 4 month span. Maybe he was also doing P90X

Using meth causes you to look like John Lithgow?
Worth saying that he already looked like 40, meth-guy I mean. He doesn't look like someone who is 25 to begin with

He looks more than 40 in the last pic, heck he looks like an old man. Would of guessed 27 or so in the first.
I would have guessed 40 at least, he already looks old on the first pic

How are you people estimating ages? By what principle?
Whenever I look at a human, I can only place them within a 20-year range, or at minimum 10.
Unless they are 10-15, in which case it's a 5-year range.

It's mainly used in the poorer parts of Russia, where there's already a heroin addict in almost every family. When they can't pay the heroin any more only then do they tend to use it. They usually already are messed up completely or even fearing death. And of course some just are stupid. Vice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsUH8llvTZo) has a good documentary on it, but thankfully with almost none of the overly shocking imagery of 'long time' user. (You rarely live longer than a year or year and a half)
