i just made this account to say i am great fan of this mod since childhood, i started playing before even v1 was released and have lurked the forums for years i am now 20 years old and have fond memories and have been anticipating this sequel at the back of my mind for many years, is there any chance of completion?

Completion is a certainty, the question is when. Even at points when we have thought we are close to a first release something has happened, namely team members disappearing, and we have bee forced to re-evaluate our position. However, we have a dedicated and highly competent team, even if it is not as large as we would like, and we are all committed to seeing a release as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience, and once again we apologies if progress has not been as rapid as everyone would like.

In the mean time I would suggest following EBII on Twitter to see how we are getting on.

If you know how to produce 3D models, 2D artwork, programme or happen to be a specialist in either North African or Portuguese Iron Age archaeology we would love to hear from you.

...or happen to be a specialist in either North African or Portuguese Iron Age archaeology we would love to hear from you.

A shot in the dark if I've ever heard one :laugh4:

Though I suppose it never hurts to try. I fear that is not a very glamorous area of study and specialists are few and far between.

On the contrary, if I could read Portuguese I would love to have a look at the Lusitanians (although I fear 5 factions is already enough for one man to handle) .

I played Europa Barbarorum a lot when I had down time in the Army. I can't wait 'til it is released, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe I'd just be better off buying Rome II instead of waiting. I do understand the difficulties the team has had, and I apologize for my lack of faith. :hail:

By all means buy Rome II. Even if we had released EBII by now, Rome II is choc full of features that the limitations of the Medieval II engine don't allow us to implement.
