With Andres not able to go ahead with his game, and nobody else ready to go for a Large game, we have a game hosting gap!
Alright, so I had better get crackin' with cobbling together a game of some sort.
What would help me decide what sort of game it shall be- the level of interest in sign-ups.
So, you'll have to hold onto your butts and be surprised by what you get. Get me at least 20 players or more, to make it qualify for being a large game.

So in the interests of fairness, what I've done is taken a cue from certain computer corporations, and I've amended the license agreement for viewing this thread: You are tacitly agreeing to play the game if you view this thread, and must instead post an "Out" instead of an "In", if you wish to not play.*
Ishmael
I'm altering the agreement. Pray I don't alter it any further!

Oh, very well. I can't resist the call of my name in large font.
Have you decided yet as to whether this will or will not be a mostly vanilla affair?

I haven't even decided who's hosting this mafia. (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?140930-Hey-nobody-is-hosting-this-Large-Mafia-Concluded)

Okay. I've determined what my time requirements are going to be for this game. I need to host something simple. I can't do Murder Manor IV right now, or the next Star Wars game. Especially since I'm gearing up for the Resident Evil game in October.
I've decided that it's going to be an Askthepizzaguy Mafia I style game, with a betting voting system.
The plot/setting will be a casino operated by a mafia family, and you will be the professional gamblers.
You will place bets as your votes. You will have starting betting limits, and the limit will increase every round, until you can bet your entire stack of chips.
You will lose chips if the person who got lynched was not the person you bet on.
You will lose chips if the person who got lynched was the person you bet on, AND they were not Mafia.
You will have your chips returned to you (no gain) if they were Mafia and they got lynched by your bet.
The player with the most chips bet on them at the end of the round dies.
If you run out of chips, you die.
Everyone begins with 100 chips.
So, this game will be Askthepizzaguy Mafia III.
Here's the game it was based on:

Will I have to bet?
nope. This will be a rule change from the previous game.
You can, instead, wait patiently for the mafia to murder you, without all that unnecessary protestation.

I'm afraid I've just realised that I won't be able to guarantee that I'm active throughout the entire game, so I will regrettably have to pull out.

I can start with fewer players, it makes no difference. Just felt like, hey, it's the only large game that's open right now, so, anyone who wants to play mafia can join a game rather than having to wait.
If this is the current participation level of the Gameroom, we'll have to do something to boost interest. But this game will not suffer at all with 20 some odd players.

Sign-ups will end soon, approximately five minutes past whenever I feel like it. While we wait, please read this lovely advertisement that I paid good money to my marketing department to come up with before I was forced to whack them near the dumpsters out back for embezzling money.
Welcome to:
Don Pizzaguy's Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium of Total Gaming Madness.
You begin the game with 100 credits. You are allowed to bet those credits on people you think are guilty. There will be betting limits for each round. You may only bet on one candidate at a time. You're allowed to not bet anything at all in a given round.
Your bet is your vote. One credit is equivalent to one vote. 10 credits are equivalent to 10 votes. Whoever gets the most votes at the end of the round will become, well, dead.
So what's the deal, why wouldn't you just wager as many credits as possible? Well here's the thing. You never gain any credits. You always either lose credits, or they stay the same.
You lose your credits in the following circumstances:
1) You bet on someone who did not get lynched
2) You bet on someone who did get lynched, and they turned out to be innocent.
You get the credits you wagered back, in the following circumstance:
3) You bet on someone who did get lynched, and they turned out to be guilty.
So, your reward for being a high roller and lynching the scums, is bragging rights, and oh yes, you can have those credits back to wager once more.
And what happens if you gamble away all your credits?
4) I shoot you in the face. http://www.giraffeboards.com/images/smilies/moustache.gif Ba-da-boom. You're dead. http://www.giraffeboards.com/images/smilies/emot-toot.gif
We don't allow deadbeats at our gambling tables. You place enough wrong bets and you'll lose. So hang on to those betting chips so that you can tip your waitress at the end of the game. We don't allow that kind of disrespect to our waitstaff.
These rules apply to the greaseball mafia scumbags what work at our fine casino, hotel, mafia crime syndicate headquarters, and fine family dining establishment, so if they don't do their jobs which is to clean you out at the card tables and then do a proper job whacking you in the alley by the grease traps, well then, we offer them a generous severance package of hot speedy lead to the chestal region and a fine going away present of an all-expenses paid one-way trip to the dumpsters out back.
If they wager on their fellow scumbags, they also get their money back, to keep up appearances. And if they wager on our fine patrons who are not mafia, well, they lose their chips. And if they lose all their chips then they're incompetent boobs, hot lead, chestal region, dumpster out back, yadda yadda yadda. They'll never find work in this town again, except maybe as a sack of high quality garden fertilizer.
Legal Notice:
All proceeds collected by the casino will go to the very fine and 100% legitimate charitable organization known as Don Pizzaguy's Orphanarium. This fine establishment provides much needed housing services for the families and children of the fine upstanding citizens of this great country who got on Don Pizzaguy's bad side and he were forced to whack even though it's not the outcome that he, personally, would have wanted for those men, but they just couldn't come up with the monies that the Don felt he was fairly owed from his side business of loan sharking to compulsive gamblers such as yourselves. Each player who sits down at one of the card tables will enjoy free pizza courtesy of the Don Pizzaguy's Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium of Total Gaming Madness. Limit one per customer, additional slices are $12.95, and we consider it a sign of severe disrespect if you do not order additional slices. Don Pizzaguy and his greaseball affiliates, subcontractors, moderately well-paid goons, extremely large henchmen who get paid to stand in the corner and hold various heavy and blunt objects and look threatening, and that weasely guy who looks like a snitch, talks like a snitch, walks like a snitch, as a matter of fact, let's just take care of that snitch right now.... *WHACK* ...as I was saying, Don Pizzaguy and his associates, minus one recently dearly departed former associate, would like to notify you of the following disclaimer: Don Pizzaguy is not criminally or financially liable for any losses you may incur: monetary, limb, or otherwise, while staying as our valued guest at the Don Pizzaguy Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium of Total Gaming Madness. All rights besides yours reserved. Trademark, copyright, and any other kind of infringement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of outside of the law. With crowbars.
