View Full Version : Choose a Candidate for Mafia Champion game
Hey, some of you may be aware that there was a game of mafia champions played recently on 2+2. This is a poker forum with a active mafia subsection. Anyway they decided to host a game taking the champion players from certain sites.
We were one of them, and our candidate was ATPG (who was killed N1, shocking). He also represented Giraffe and Idle as well and I had a chat to the guy running it and because ATPG is ineligible for the next game, I think we should potentially vote someone to play in the next game. Now if voted you obviously don't have to accept, its up to you.
As far as I know we have 1 candidate for the game at the moment.
I'm not sure if this should be a poll or whatever, but votes in thread should be fine.
There are a few differences with regards to how we play and they play, most notable is that they post a LOT. A lot of it isn't very relevant but they still post high amounts on average (for example, a game I played on the site had 23 players and had 10K posts). They also seem to rely a lot of meta and every game of theirs has at least one cop.
That said it isn't too difficult to adapt, I played in the 23 player game as a scumbag, and I only posted maybe 15-20 posts per day average, but I got to the endgame and we won at lylo with one other mafioso and myself, so if I can win over there, you guys should easily do well if I can. This game will have 24 hour phases, 18 hour days and 6 hour nights so it may be a little difficult to get used to that but as long as you can post a few times per day you should be good.

Whether or not I'm selected, the Champion needs to gird his body for battle. Please identify the movie or whatever that I am thinking of; it's for training purposes.

It's happened, but we haven't been able to sustain that rate across an entire game unless it was a round where the :daisy: hit the fan.

Welp, that's that. I was just looking too townie, and not even my screwiness with the late-day voting could help it. I was planning to claim vig before day-end, but I didn't notice that early-end had been triggered, and so...

Yes, I was killed by the Mafia Team Kill and the Mafia Vig, and the Town Vig's kill was redirected off of me onto the Mafia Vig.
I'm just glad I could do so much for the Town. :yes:

You don't need to post 100 times a day. (How do you find the time to anyway? No idea).
I was successful in both major games I played, and I average 20.
D1 is especially ridiculous.

Yes, but they are convinced that a gigantic storm of posts that are difficult for most people to even read assists town.
Most people don't have 9 hours a day to play mafia like me. I read it all, but so many townies just get lost and fall behind. it's anti town.

It's what happened to me on Immortals and I'm ashamed for it. I'm actually glad I was killed because I was so far behind I wouldn't have been much help.

Don't be. As I said, I really had a hard time following along on this game, which is a shame since it was fun to read I just really didn't have the time to read so many posts per day atm.

Well played Montmorency. I actually suspected you were scum simply because you were sticking so hard to your usual townie mode of behaviour, but I guess the truth wasn't that WIFOMy.
