I got a Xbox 360 a while back and got some games on it, Modern Warfare, Call of duty. etc.
I'd like some new games to kill some stress, maybe something a bit RPG-ish like Final Fantasy or Diablo...

Any tips from fellow Xboxers?

Or any nice strategy/rpg games which directly run on Mac (without me having to install windows?)

Dark Souls, best game of this generation, rediculously challenging but satisfying rpg. It won't kill your stress so buy wodka. Really dark and moody. Can't go wrong with the Halo series as well.

This should probably be moved to the arena...

I agree that you can't go wrong with the halo series. I haven't player Halo 4, but Halo:Reach was a lot of fun online. As for RPGs, my favorites are games by Bethesda softworks. They come with deep, immersive worlds that literally contain lots of locations for you to explore and loot, lots of characters, lots of quests and lots of items.

Although I aren't really sure you should buy games for current consoles with the next generation about to hit the stores.

You kidding me, the xbox360 and the ps3 are going to be around for a while, and the next gen doesn't have anything that makes it worth buying them for. I'll get a ps4 over two years or so.

Or get the current gen now and buy old titles. Then after next gen gets a price cut or two get one then.

Some titles you might enjoy:
Homefront: a COD style shooter, not in any way based on the TV series. It's a realistic North Korea invades the continental US set in 2018. Fairly enjoyable.

Injustice Gods among us: A DC based fighting game from the dev. behind Mortal Kombat. The single player story is actually good. And the combat system is easier enough to master.

Batman Arkham series (asylum, city, and the upcoming origins) a beat'em/adventure game up in an open environment with good story telling and voice acting.

For an RPG there's Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Produced by some former Besthesda soft works guys. I only played the demo, but I liked it.

You will however find that any big game for the PC in the last 6 years also has a 360/PS3 version. So you might list what you have played for RPG's. As Dungeon siege, Elder Scrolls, Dragon age, and Mass effect were all multi-platform.

Excellent article on Dark Souls. First, people who say it's hard but fair are lying, expect many many cheap deaths, you simply won't avoid dying. A lot. It's absolutily brutal. You eventually progress but you will be slapped around with a sadistic mockery of your very existance. Yes, that hard. But once you come to terms with that you realise that the game is like your daddy who always wanted you to be tough. I can't recommended it enough it is truly captivating once the world opens up.

Did I mention that you are going to die a lot

Kingdom of Alamur is a nice romp, but it isn't very inspired. Dark Souls completily draws you in it is an absolute masterpiece that take hundreds of hours before you unravel all it's mysteries, it's a truly captivating gameworld that's designed better than any Zelda-dungeon could take credit for. It's a shame that it's older brother Demon's Souls was never released on the xbox, I am still not sure which is the better game. Demon's Souls was really sad, the tragic fate of the Kingdom slowly unfolds. Dark Soul's is more scary and arguably the better game, the sense of loss is replaced with pure evil but it works. Anyhow, I can't stress enough that you should get it.

Assassin's creed 1 and 2 are good! and for a shooter, Brothers in Arms

I've finsished Assasins 1 (which was a bit too easy imho, but great fun) and never really got into part 2, though I do have it.
Brothers in Arms I know not.
