Whenever im playin a single player game, the computer will sit outside my province with a massive army. They are getting obliterated by another computer but there army still remains outside my base. Also they are allied with me and instead of attacking the other computer which he is at war with he attacks me. this has happened in every campaign and i really think it needs to be fixed coz the computer doesnt take an alliance seriously and they are more out to get you than themselves

Whether the AI takes an alliance seriusly or not depends on your leaders influence status. However eventually it will wage war to you, because..."there can be only one".

I haven't encountered a Crusade yet w/the patch, since I just started my first post-patch SP game today. Does the AI still declare a crusade against you, then sit in the province right next to yours in another factions province, and not attack, but just let its army slowly fade away? This always confused me.

Not unless I thinks it can't win - it won't attack then - and then it will fade away.
