Years ago I convinced my old woman we could go better enjoy the day afterwards better with smaller crowds and better prices.

We made a deal years ago not to partake in this commercial nonsense.

But from time to time, one of us still falls for the trap. Which is rather cool really, since, if you don't celebrate Valentine and then once each 5 years or so you just can't resist to do something nice for your significant one, it suddenly makes Valentine's Day special again, because then it's a surprise. In a way, it's more special if you don't celebrate it as an obligatin, and then suddenly still do something to surprise the other.

I am letting this holiday get into my head more than I should. All I am doing today is going back home and presumably having a nice dinner with my parents and then being alone on the computer.
