You can get some upgrades needed for your low morale units. And most units dont fight to the last man. Less means too fragile army.

pre patch 8000 to 10000 florins , post patch no lower than 15000 florins . you just cant stop routing any lower now .

From 15,000 to 20,000 because your spears won't stand and fight very well without the morale boost that valor upgrades provide, and that valor upgrade is considerably more expensive in v1.1. Other low morale units benefit as well like halberdiers which have a base morale of 0.

I'm still stuck at 10k. I've been playing 10k for years, and I'm just stuck in the habit.

I suppose 15-20k makes more sense after the v1.1 patch cost increase of spears. It almost seems pointless to increase the cost of spears and then increase the standard florins per game, although I understand the ratio of florins spent on spears will increase, you end up with the same quality spears as before. I suppose it makes sense, because you have same spears and better cav....

I guess I havent thought about this very much.

I did a mathematical analysis of the 70% cost of valor upgrade a while back and posted it on the old forum, but it has fallen off the edge now and is gone. It does prevent units with a low base cost from becoming stronger than units with a higher base cost. That's the objective of it, so that the unit balance remains more consistent at various florin levels. That should free players to use the florins to play at a higher overall morale if they want to. Higher florins also allows you to take advantage of more weapon and armor upgrades which are hidden from the opponent. You can tailor and army to be uniformly strong or have an uneven strength distribution depending on your style of play. It may also reduce battlefield valor gains because you'll probably be fielding fewer valor 0 units, since it's easier for valor 0 units to gain valor.

ive experienced a very wide range when playing online what amount do you think should be the standard? i.e. 8k in MI

i tent to say, about 12 till 15k right now. or u will see some massiv routs coz ur units moral is just too low.

what we have now are some short chages between armys and than fast 1 is routing....

the charge should took a bit longer, to give u some time to think and to react...


in the new stats we have a +2moral to all units, and u can very good see that this increased the fun and the tactical view of the game.

i think with the new moral we can easy go back with max 10k or maybe lower
