I've played 2 campaigns since the patch & bore the brunt of the mongol invasion in both of them. As the turks they didn't even attack Georgia but I think my army of Jannissaries might have scared them off. As the Byzantinee(first time playing as them)I was able to retreat to my citadel in khazar with just a naphta unit & the mongols wouldn't try to end the seige. With the way the AI moves its supper stacks around I was able to get the province back 3 times. They also had the crimea under seige, so I put a few spies into the crimea & the mongols move all of their stacks to the crimea Leaving no army to continue the seige of Khazar. They also sent an army of around 6000 to attack my army in Georgia. After their inital 16 units are killed/routed off the field they retreat. This 6000 army has nowhere to retreat to so I capture them. The mongols can't pay ransom so they are put to the blade. I think the improved mongol invasion is great but needs some seige units.
