How do I open Log files

When i go into the folder with these files in them,and try to open them, they try to open with windows media player. but then dont (because they are no media files i guess).

Is there any way I can open them without uninstalling media player

Depending on your OS version, you can right click, and select open with, then choose notepad as the application to use (the logs are plain ascii text). BTW I wonder why in your case wm player is launched, since I dont think there are video files with ext .log.

For some strange reason I dont get the choice of what to open them with they default to wmp. so i need to know how to switch this off.

well u might need a logfilereader... if our Khan is in a gentle mood it may be released soon...
