It would, but imo there are several other priorities for an add on. Diplomacy, tabs, maybe multiplayer campaign and nevertheless we have already a battle editor. Not the one you mean,but there is one.

Maybe - I don't see the current battle system as a batle editor - you can't setup the initial positions or the the troop characteristics for both sides, nor can you set up the exact terrrain, weather, and other odds & sods.

So I think it's a battle generator rather than editor.

I think a real battle editor would be great

Miniatures w/o the need for a table, rulers, coffee urns...etc.
Now if you could get that AND the ability to hook up to your opponents ISP it would be even better http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif

Yeah I think theres more things that recieve priority over a battle editor in any upcoming additions/add-ons, but this would be a nice one I'd say.

Thats what I mean. A battle editor would be something very very nice to have, but is it that nice to have it in expence of oter aspects whitch would raise by far the gameplay (ehm...diplomacy?)?
