Different Unit Description Ingame and Offline Documentation

I am new to EB and I am confused by two very different unit statistics: Ingame and by the installed offline unit documentation.

For Example (and such differences appear for all units):

Hastati (Camillan Medium Infantry Maniple)

Ingame:
82 Soldiers in each unit
Armor 8
Shield 9
Skill 4
Melee Weapon 12

Offline XML Documentation
40 Soldiers in each unit
Armor 7
Shield 4
Skill 9
Melee Weapon 11

Which information is the correct one?

Whatever is in the export_descr_unit.txt is correct, since that's what the game uses.
