Augustus DLC (http://steamcommunity.com/app/214950/discussions/0/35221031814717088/)
The Total War: Rome II Emperor Edition includes all the award-winning main game Rome II the completely new, comprehensive campaign "Emperor Augustus" and all DLCs previously freely available and the previously released patches that provide for an even better gaming experience. Including the various "culture-packs", new campaign maps and graphical improvements in almost every area of the game.
Awaiting you new war units, a revised construction management, new events, and much more! In addition, from previous Total War-parts so popular family tree finds its way back into the game!
Total War: Rome II spans one of the most famous periods of world history, combining a comprehensive, turn-based campaign with the biggest and cinamatic real-time battles that you've ever seen in a strategy game. Become the greatest superpower in the world and command the most incredible and most powerful army in the ancient world. Rule over your enemies using military, economic and political means. Will you suffer under the betrayal of others, or are you the one who first directed against old friends?
Of course this was promptly denied by CA, saying that everyone should wait for official announcements, but they didnt deny the existence of the DLC either...
Yay, I knew we wouldn't get the stuff that should have been in the game in the first place without paying for it \o/
"A family tree doesn't fit our vision about Rome II"
"Hey, how can we get you to give us more money? What about we give you a family tree?
Meh, they've been selling out from the start anyways =p

To be fair this is all rumors so for all we know the family tree stuff is free.
Or so I hope at least.

In the most amusing scenario the rumor is false, at least as it pertains to the family tree being included in what they release next. :laugh4:

Well if they are able to put in seasons for the main game I would expect that a family tree would also come for the main game as well. Its not such a huge addition like a complete redesign of the building system would be.

Fixing agent spam would be even easier and I've not seen that happen yet.

Don't hope too much. I'm pretty sure if any of this real, it will be a standalone campaign a la Fall of the Samurai that costs 20-30 quid and has no effect on the vanilla game whatsoever ^^

Confirmed false. Though we are getting new content soon! I think.

A bit disappointing really, would have liked to see the family tree be inserted in the game. ~:(

EB2 is out thereby relieving me of any last lingering reasons to care what CA does with R2.

Are you completely insane? There's not enough agents.

What's EB2?
EB II is everything that a true Rome total War successor should be. It helps you see everything that is wrong with Rome 2. We are forever indebted to the EB modders.
Link? Is it a Rome 2 mod?

Its a Medieval II + Kingdoms mod. EB 1 was extremely good, jury is still out on EB 2 but I have faith it is just as good.

When I end up with more than 50 live agents at one time from flipping them all, at which point I get bored with looking at wtf they are all doing and just started killing the rest the AI sends at me, I'd have to answer your question with a no, I'm not insane and gladly suggest you are.

I had to come back and let you know, because you'll appreciate the irony, I know I do.
I spent all night downloading EB2, wake up this morning, fire it up and load it, and guess what happens? Yeah, it doesn't run. Not only that, it has made it so my MTW2 install doesn't run either. I've taken the game to bare metal (as in selected delete local files in steam and then went and manually deleted the directory, after multiple attempts at verify files did jack) install at this point and it makes zero difference, no matter what I try to run now I get the following error: Medieval II suffered a fatal error and will now exit
Thought you'd get a laugh out of that one, so I guess I won't be abandoning Rome 2 so fast after all, apparently she's a harsh mistress with connections and she's managed to kill off one of her siblings just to make sure I don't cheat on her.
Btw, if anyone reading this has a clue how to fix this, let me know. I can't have MTW2 not work.

I kinda wish that they made it so when you flipped an enemy agent they just disappeared, not joined your side. Might have helped ease the agent spam.

Nonsense, you clearly have been waiting a long time for this so I truly hope that you fix your EB2 problems and get to enjoy the mod. After all, these are just games, and we should all strive to get as much enjoyment out of them as we can. Just as I hope you get the maximum enjoyment out of EB 2, I hope that you would want the people still playing Rome 2 get the maximum enjoyment out of the game as well.

Haha, same thing happened to me as well. To get M2 to run again, I reinstalled M2 (this takes about 20 minutes for me because yay internet, so I have no idea what to do if this is not an option)
I have yet to figure out how to get this mod to run though.

It ended up being user error, well, I'm not sure about EB2 part not working, but the piece about MTW2 not running after I did a clean re-install, that was me, I had previously edited the launch options in attempting to get EB2 to run and for the purposes of removing the launch option that kicked off SS6.4, anyway, I left the dash in there which made it impossible for the vanilla MTW2 to find medieval2.exe.
Problem solved, at least with respect to getting MTW2 vanilla along with Kingdoms running again. I'll tee up installing EB2 again to see if it works perhaps this weekend.
