Hi

Two campaigns started as Sweboz, once heading south, once north, capture settlement battle, both times CTD on victory, CPU hitting 100%

Windows 7, 64 bit, SP1, Intel core2 cpu e7500@2.93 ghz, 8 GB RAM, Geforce gtx 560TI

Video settings first time set as native, second time turned down to medium, shadows/reflections off.

Is it trying to load a victory video/animation?

This may be related....more to my system than the mod....

playing as Carthage, left clicking on Nabatea to see settlement information, CTD, 100% cpu use

Tried again as Rome, turn 1 selecting a Sicilian city to see spy ccd on double clicking city icon

Looking at task manager:

two instances of launcher.exe *32 are running concurrently, both at 45% along with kingdoms.exe *32 that is using 509,900 k of memory

(used the desktop EB2 launch icon to run from kingdoms disc)

For a bit of fun I manually closed both versions of launcher.exe *32 in windows task manager and the game still ran. But once selecting a settlement again had the same CTD.

Version 2.1 - two versions of launcher.exe *32 still running when game starts

Also still present after game has been closed down running using 40-50% cpu!

You should kill those processes. When running the non-Steam shortcut on 2.01 there should not be another launcher starting at all.

Not sure whether it is my system stopping them being killed or a hanging process line in the bat file. Will test later and report back

Hah...success

Last time I tried I was offered the chance to continue last game, which I did thinking to try and recreate previous bug.....this time starting fresh game.....both launcher processes not visible and cpu usage down to less than 20%

Looks like 2.1 nice step forward from 2.0 :)

OK...two campaigns started and two ctds on victory of first battle........looking at the success of others it is my system limitations....any suggestions to help with stability?

Not really. If you can replicate the crash twice for the same battle, you can post your savegame and log file for analysis.

Hi

Tried to edit the EBII.cfg file to reduce display resolution - native 1920x1080
Added windowed/window borders cmd lines and no change. Looked back at file and those lines had been completely over written but others remained changed...see below example: building_detail=low but battle_resolution=1920 1080 changed back to native. Windowed cmd line deleted

That is nothing like the EBII.cfg you should have. It more resembles the one from 2.0 where the launcher had overwritten it. For reference, this should be the full contents after installation:

Now that I have applied 2.1 ....and not reapplied 2 ....it is working like a dream. Sorry Bovi ....thank you for the help through this. Now twenty turns in as Pritanoi and I am loving this but each turn takes so long....there is so much to read :)
