Morale and crusades

It is a matter of common knowledge that religious buildings in a province boost morale of the units trained therein. What about a crusade? Don't the units that appear in a crusade by default have higher morale? And if a unit is placed into the crusade, does it influence its morale? The same questions arise about a jihad.

I don't think there is any effect on morale just from the crusade marker. I believe units appearing in the marker when the crusade is started get the province morale bonuses, but apart from that and the commander's rating I don't think there is any other modifier. The Ribat gives a +2 morale bonus for units trained in the province, that would be added to the Jihad units created. If I'm not mistaken about how the engine works, a bonus for being added to a Crusade/Jihad would have to be permanent, even after the gathering was dispersed, so probably not implemented.
