View Full Version : Are the Burgundians in any of the SP campaigns???
They are remmed out in the High Period campaign and that's the only mention they get in the startpos campaign files?
Has anyone ever spotted the Burgundian faction?
Do they appear like the Golden Horde in the High period campaign...?
??

Do you use any mod? Because I have never never encountered them. I always thought that Swiss and the Golden Horde where the only "intruder" factions.

I haven't seen them either, but I think what happens is that if you have a rebellion or civil war that affects Burgundy, instead of getting rebels you get the Burgundian faction.
This is just a guess.

no, they may only show up when you play as the HRE though. I definitly saw them last time I played as HRE,(pre-patch)they were aggressive little bastartds just like the swiss. This reminds a story about my current campaign as the English: the Swiss are currently taking over the world, they control most of germany all of france and part of Spain and are now challenging the Byzantines in the east I'm just trying to stay out of it, as he's getting in gigantic wars with other factions (this is all post-patch) the yar is 1325 and I pick at other ppls lands when they have civil wars, a very nice strategy You don't start wars with catholics (i haven't been excommunicated yet). But in this post-patch game the swiss are becoming a superpower. To answer your question i think they only appear when you play French,or Germans, but i can guarantee you I have seen them. Hey Guys,
Yes, I've seen them. Just around 1300. They emerged as rebels in France, kicking the Danes out for a turn or two before they were subjegated again.
I've also seen someone else in France (but can't remember who). It seems that any group of Rebels gets a sort of title based on where they are.
Just checked my save games to see if they were there. No luck. But the rebels on Crete are the Cretans, so it probably works like that.
Despite their existence, realistically they are nothing more than a rebel army. Not on par with the Horde.
(playing Post-Patch by the way).
