View Full Version : {DIK} Bugs & Problems
Hey there DIK players,
due to some recent problems I provide this thread to you, to post your bugs and other problems.
Please, if you have a crash or whatever, follow this "rules":
Turn number of your crash
Which faction do you play
In any case, please attach the log file (found under: ...SEGA\Medieval II Total War\logs)
And your last action (click "yes" or "no" during an event, starting a battle, etc..)
If you mind these "rules" I'd be very grateful and also I can help you much faster, when I have all this information.
Many thank's :)
Regards Neadal

Hi mate just downloaded your mod and trying it out. It looks great thanks for all the work. Especially swiss units look really good. However, there are few small issues with english translation. Its not a big problem but in game menu (the one you use during campaigns eg. for saving the game or quitting to the main menu) is in german and that makes it hard to navigate for non german speakers. Also some units (eg. swiss crossbowmen) have german descriptions instead of english. Other than that its a great mod and i will enjoy it for many hours. Thank you so much.
In which directory did you extract the files?

Mods/italianwars/data/text
Thats where all the text files were at.
Well, try this:
Extract the rar.file to your desktop, there should be a folder named "data" then go to the following path:
...Medieval II Total War\mods\Italian_Wars
there should be another folder "data" just paste it in and overwrite every file.

I tried it mate but its still the same. The campaign menu is german as well as some units. But the rest is in english, like the building and many of the unit info. So i think it might be something about the translation files. If you cant locate the problem in the files, than dont worry, its ok, it doesnt effect my enjoyment of the game.
Do you have a steam version?

Ok try this:
Go to following path Italian_Wars\data\text there you will find some string.bin files delete them all and start the game :)
