I really appreciate the level of training of Byzantine Emperor:
He was fighting encircled against my 6 spear units with his 40 Kataracts. When all companion was KIA by my troops despite heavy loses, Emperor alone was able to defend himself (attacking around) and killed about 100 of my soldiers.
I think it is a little bit exaggerated performance http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Lol yeah I know what you mean. I stormed this fort once with about 400 spears against 30 chiv men-at-arms and 40 Templars.
After everyone was dead the Templar general routed an intire unit of spears singlehandedly http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

He died in the end but he left a trail of dead spearmen in his wake. He was 6 star...

Yeeeeeaaaaah, it looks all multi-star generals are so strong ones. For me it sucks...

isn't it also nice when you have the enmy general totally enveloped and he manages to find a small crack to slip through and escape off the map? They can be quite wily.

sure, the general has 6 stars, so his horse isn't killable either. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

the worst is when you have a faction leader completely surrounded by your armies, i mean like 1000 against 30 battles and somehow he manages to escape after killing a lot of your army. its so sad to see those 10-13.000 florins dissapear in the back of a horse http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif , they should fix this thing , i mean if a king/general is surrounded and alone he should be captured

Or at the very least there should be an option for him to surrender. I mean, one man against 1000. Wouldn't YOU surrender?

i have a theory on how he escapes while surrounded from 1000 men , i believe he opens his purse and starts throwing florins all around him as hes walking out of the human mass http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif...these poor soldiers are always prone to money i meen we pay them only 60-70 florins per squadron or something.... :P

No, he just shouts: "Look behind you, a three headed monkey"
In medieval times men weren't that smart, so they all propably look. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/shock.gif
