View Full Version : Hellenistic Metropolis is bugged (Syrakusai)

I'm playing as Carthage (VH/M) and I've taken Syrakusai. The problem is I can't build anything other than supervised colony, or allied democracy/oligarchy. I can't build the first level of colonisation or anything at all other than the lowest level of temple. The city is 60 percent my culture as well. I think the reason behind this is because of the Helenistic Metropolis building, which helps you colonise as a helenistic faction so I think the conflict is preventing anyting being built. I need to demolish it but it says it cannot be destroyed, can I get rid of it via the console? Thanks.

I don't have access to the game ATM but AFAIK there should be no reason why hellenistic metropolis would have any impact on Carthaginian governments. It must have been something else, but thank you anyway for the report - we need to investigate it a bit more.

I have had a look and there is nothing in Syrakusai that could intefere, no greek colonies or anything. It's odd, it's just a useless settlement I might let it rebel.

I am also suffering from the 'Unlimited Colonists' bug

I can build a bit more now after the option of trade outpost became available, I wonder if it isn't bugged after all and I just don't understand the mechanics properly.
