The Friendly Rebellion

This was odd.

Playing the English, Rebel Army appears in Toulouse.

I check my forces, decide they are sufficient to deal with this, and so after sorting everything else out everywhere else, end turn...

Rebels still there. They haven't attacked. They hung around for 4 turns then dissapeared.

Odd. Has this happened to anyone else? Or can anyone explain this?

My game is patched and rebellions in other provinces have attacked me.

I'll check it out. I like to keep my saves tidy, so I don't keep many, but there might be one there. I'll look.

Looked in my save games and no joy.

I'm sure that they were there though, and for more than one turn.

When that sort of thing happens, you hit End Year and expect to be defending your province, but they just left.

If this has happened to anyone else, do let me know.

I have had a rebellion appear for just the turn, i hit End Year, expected to lose my province http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

But.. the Rebellion disapeared.

On the turn after they appeared.

Seems im not the only one with rebellions that disapear.

I`ve seen a rebel army and a sicilian army standing in the same province for some years. Was pre-patch,so.
Did they have the message "will attack end of this year" still after not attacking? Did you check if they hadn`t "will attack when they are in the right mood"?

I have a similar situation in my current game. I'm playing English/Expert/GA post patch. I invaded Champagne(sp?) against the French snd they decided not to fight.

The very next turn, two rebel armies (non-French) show up without a message. I decide not to fight, but although I was able to click and pick up my army, the computer would not let me move it anywhere. I thought this must be a bug, so I just preceded to the next turn to fight it out.

So the next year, my army just vanishes I check all of the surrounding provinces, but no luck. Then I click on the two rebel armies, and my men are there now Weird thing is, they are still wearing there red uniforms, even though the rebels are green. Of note, the general in this army was 2 star I think, but otherwise quiet loyal.

I have probably played 50 or so more years since then, and the rebel armies are still there, the province is still claimed by the English, and the flag over the fort is still English. I am unable to move the armies or select indivdual units form the roster (even English ones). As soon as I take care of some pressing actions in the Eastern Med, I plan to either bribe the armies and move some more units in to see if i get a fight.

Any thoughts on this?
