I got up about half way through when it was supposed to be happening here but I didn't notice anything.

The sky was cloudy over here, so the only thing i noticed was that it bit became bit more dark for a while.

The 1999 eclipse was impressive so I was hoping to get a glimpse of this one, alas, nothing.

Same here. I too remember the 1999 eclipse, but during the last one it was too cloudy to see anyting.
