they are some sort of byzantine heavy cavalry,i just don't know if they are kataphraktoi or some sort of other heavy cavalry,would be nice to see them in MTW.

In M;TW, these are Byzantine Kataphractoi.

i think they are , they sound like them for sure. However i d like to see the byzantine light cavalary as well , i think its called monozonoi or something....

The script writes that they are soldiers payed in land, just as Akrites where. Warriors granded with frontier lands, which they where supposed to protect.And the unit is visualy very very close to them. The only unit I realy miss from the Byzantines, is that of a Ygron Pyr. Naptha Throwers are good but Muslims can have them too. Greek Fire was Byzantines secret weapon.
