Yes, it's a bit prettier than I remember M2:TW to be, but that could be the results of mods. It's definitely the M2:TW engine.

The battlescape part of MTW2 has held up way better than anyone who hasn't played in awhile can appreciate. And the mechanics of the battles in my opinion are in some ways better than warscape based TW games, matter of taste of course.

The campaign map is perhaps a bit dated looking at this point, but that's all the surface stuff CA has wasted so much time on, and some would say, I among them, lost their way worrying about making it pretty while neglecting game play.

Ironic when you think about it because the very question of this thread points out that it really hasn't amounted to much when you can look at vid of a game a decade old and ask if it's real. :laugh4:
