View Full Version : United Kingdom's law enforcement faces crisis of unreliability.
A random taxi driver experienced one minor car accident, only to be given a penalty ticket for parking his cab in an inappropriate place.
When he tries to protest against the infraction, he gets verbally attacked by the traffic warden and a considerate citizen:

I don't know anything about UK police, is this a systemic problem or just a bad apple?
Traffic Warden isn't a police officer, they are employed by the council, not the Police.

By council you mean like a city government? If so, why is it "UK law enforcement faces crisis", instead of "city employee could not care less".

In attempt to explain it, the Town Hall hires "Mall Cops" who go around looking for illegally parked cars and giving them tickets. These tickets do not put points on your licence, but generally a fine of lets say, £50 (can be more, depending). They have no powers of arrest. There are also third-party ones which do the same on private land, but these have even more restrictions, such as they cannot force you to pay the fine.
As for the title of the thread, Crandar is not from the UK, and I haven't a clue why he titled it as such. I can think of far more 'crisis' related to the Police force than some guy getting a parking ticket.
Next he will show a video of a typical greek plate breaking celebration and say Athens is in chaos due to mass rioting.

It's worth noting that once upon a time Traffic Wardens WERE the primary issuers of tickets, and are part of the Police, however the modern "Civil Enforcement Officers" are not.
So he's just another Council jobsworth and who cares - it'll get thrown out of court.

What a misleading title...
I have seen MANY countries, and from my experience the British Police is the best I have yet to see. They also have a generally VERY good reputation.
That's just a Traffic Warden... Single menthol smoking moms can be traffic wardens...
This is more my experience of the British police:
