It would be most helpful if we could know where every single Hunnic army was at any time.

Well, as of yesterday, I actually do know, thanks to my new best friend (http://www.honga.net/totalwar/attila/ancillary.php?l=en&v=attila&f=att_fact_hunni&a=att_sp_companion_spy_geomancer).

My scout got this household member after having been assigned to constant intelligence gathering from the Hunnic armies. I was already quite pleased with his ability to find 3 armies per turn but now he can find 13 at a time, if anyone had that many.

Are there any other overpowered household members out there?

Wow, I hadn't noticed that guy before. I may start using Gather Intelligence more often...

Yesterday, I used another scout to gather intelligence on the Huns (because my first scout failed) and he got a geomancer too. My guess is that you only get these from spying on the Huns, since Honga lists them as being Hunnic household members.
