"talks shite"
his troops are not impressed by this idiots attempts to pass himself off as a general who knows his stuff
-2 morale
Nice post. My suggestions:
1. "Military Academy Scholar"
He has graduated from the War Academy.+2 Command, +2 accument but his soldiers do not like their general having his rank taken via papers rather the battlefield. -3 Moral
2. "Rebel"
He has fight against his ruler commanding rebel forces. -4 loyality, +2 command in mountainous terrain.
3. "Bastard" & "Secret Bastard"
He is the offspring of a noble with a woman of low morals. His soldiers know that and believe that he is cursed from God. -1 moral. -3 Piety. -10 happiness wherever he is a governor.
4. "[Faction] Butcher"
He is known to butcher particulary [faction] prisoners. +2 moral whenever fights against [faction], +4 dread whenever a governor of a previously [faction]s province.
5. "Necrofilic" & "Secret necrofilic"
He is known to love sexual conduct with dead women bodies. +1 dread, -6 piety.
6. "Satanist" and "Secret Satanist"
He worship Satan, has converted many of his soldiers to his faith and use black magic to accumulate wealth.
+4 dread, +1 Accument, -8 Piety, +2 morale, -30 Happiness whereevere he governs.
7. "Peace lover"
... +3 Piety, -1 moral, -5 valour.
Narcicist : He seems to have fallen in love with himself. His men are already making jokes about his behaviour. -2 Morale, -2 Health
Legendary Leader : He has once defeated an way superior enemy. His men belive him to be invincible. +2 Moral, +1 Command, +1 Dread
"Artist"
+1 Accument, -1 Command
"Sick Artist"
+1 Dread, -1 Piety
"Monk"
He grew up in a monastery, with lit lifestyle and the absens of luxuries. +2 Valor, +4 Piety, +2 Loyality, -5 Accument.
"Altruist"
He is a man without a bit of egoism. Often gives the enemy an advantage due to Chivalric Etiqutte. -2 Command, -6 Dread, +3 Morale.
"Mute"
He has lost his ability to speak. It is hard to pass his commands to his officers and soldiers -4 Command.
"Blinded"
He is blind. It is hard to spectate the battlefield without a henchmans help and almost impossible to fight. -5 Command, -5 Valour, -10 Health.
You would be laughing but many generals have poor eye sight and relies on their aids. They are still good generals if their aids are good. They command strategically.
Annie
Ok I will say which I like so far.
[Faction] Butcher... a very nice addition, making it worth actually killing prisoners besides them not coming back. Should only come when that general has killed above 1500 prisoners of said faction.
Peace Lover... YES But since he doesn't fight much he should have +2 Acumen as well.
Narcisist... A good idea. Though that Health thing should be gone.
Monk... Good one.
Military Academy Scolar... while a good idea it should have less of an impact. No loss to Morale as it is practically impossible to make up for it while other Morale penalties are quite easy to rake up.
+1 to Command, +1 to Valour.
My own ideas:
Martial Defender: This man has trained long in the arts of parrying and the usage of the shield. He is hard to kill and his men knows this. +2 to defence in melee, +1 Morale
Martial Attacker: This man is aggressive and well trained in finding ways around the defences of his enemy. He is rightfully feared for his abilities. +2 to melee, +2 Dread
Arrogant: Having had great successes in both the field and at home, this man has become arrogant, believing himself superior to all but the king... or is that so? Either way, his men are uneasy about this. -2 Loyalty, +1 Valour, -1 Morale
Famous/Great/Legendary Jouster: (this is for Famous, upping the various stats for better status) He has a love for jousting and has become good at it. He has honed his skills in battle quite well and his men look to him for inspiration but training has taken him away from his accounting tasks. +1 to Chargebonus, +1 Morale, -1 Acumen
Crusader (only Catholics, but perhaps a similar thing for Muslims?): Having lead a Crusade successfully he has earned the gratitude of the Church and the reverance of the Catholic people. Having fought against other cultures style of warfare he has learned some valuable lessons. +4 Piety, +1 Command.
Hammer of Rebels: This man is ruthless when facing rebels, he is known to command his men with great vigor against them. +2 Command when facing rebels, +1 Dread
Born Rider: This man is practically born in the saddle, he knows well what to expect from his mounted troops. +1 Valour to mounted troops.
Footman: Though he might ride a horse, he trains mostly with his men on foot, this has let him know what to expect from his infantry. +1 Valour to infantry (not archers)

Oh come ON. There's already a Chivalric vice, and -6 dread is bad enough for a comparitively minor advantage. 90% of all generals get horrendously bad vices ALREADY, we don't need more.

some interesting vices indeed, but i'ld like to see something a little different. like if you give a title to a secret blackmailer, a negative vice disappears from one of your heirs.

If that was correct then it might already be in the game.

Cross dresser The "male" general is actually... a woman secretly passing off as a man. Maybe a moral penality if its found out? Probably lots of effects you could tie to this. And it wouldnt exactly work well for an heir... or would it? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

This man is known for collecting body parts of his opponents as souvenirs and eating them at the victory celebration. It scares the living f**k out of his men, who believe him to be batsh*t insane. +5 dread, -1 morale, +5 valor, -8 piety.

"False Messia"
He was believed to be the person who will bring prosperity and great victories according to a prophecy, but did not lived up to his soldiers expectations. -2 Piety &
-5 morale, -1 valour to all his units.
Ktonos, that is actually a good one, though I would prefer after a couple of losses so you never knew when his men would abandon him.
Deviant: This man is not like others. He is a radical, he believes in the individual and hates the centralized nature of the Church. -5 Piety, +10 Happiness, +1 Acumen, + something to Herecy in province he is in
I thought they omitted some obvious V&V's (to me, anyway).
Womanizer:

Ok, I will give this thread a shot. Some of these might exist also, so plz tell me if they do.
Amputee:
He has lost a limb from an infection, and consequently cannot fight as well as before. Health and morale penalty.
Multiple Amputee:
He has lost more than one limb, and has severe problems with fighting. Health and morale penalty.
Extreme Amputee:
He is a mere scrap of his former self. His men regard him as an oddity, and he requires servants for even the most basic tasks. Health and morale penalty.
Profane:
His rude and unchivalric vocabulary has begun to dishearten his men and anger his superiors. Piety and Command penalty.
Stroke Victim:
He has had a stroke, and has lost many of his former capabilities. Acumen and Command penalty.
Old(progressive):
His age has begun to affect his fighting skills. Health and morale penalty.
Inexperienced:
His lack of experience is beginning to dishearten his men. Command and Acumen penalty.
Husband of Witch:
Stories of his wife's unholy exploits have his men worried about the strength of his faith and the authenticity of his orders. Piety and Command penalty.
Secretly Deceased:
He has been dead for a while now, and has been replaced by look-alikes out of concern for his men. Command and Acumen penalty.
Infertile:

Some serious ones:
Cool Tactican
His commands a guided by military reason and are missing every bit of emotion. This adds to his abilities but it doesn`t inspirate his men. +2 command -3 morale
Battle temperament
He is often impetious and storms into battle without thinking much about it. His men usully react more to the courage he shows than to the problems this may cause. -2 command +4 morale +2 valour
... and less serious:
Dirty jokes
He often tells funny stories with sexual content. His men love it, the clerus doesn`t. +3 morale -4 piety
Good ones Saturnus, but I think the Morale loss from the Cool Tactician is too much. Perhaps only -1 Morale as the men would also be quite impressed with such a person.
