Vikings? eww , definately wont be too different a time period, because that would mean loads of new units and invalidating alot of the current ones http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif , What is your preffered expansion, I know its already underway but if ive learned one thing, its most of the peeeps on this board know their history so what would you like to see...

i would like an expansion that added, diplomacy : so u can join with your allies in combat, exchange money, men etc, travel through there lands, and i would like to be able to organise or go to jousting competions (as in defender of the crown) this would add a new rpg element and develop your generals a bit more (could be fun aswell) and i would like to be able to raid enemy castles to get money or release prisoners (kinda like in defender of the crown but vasly updated) and i would like more in game movies and cut scenes etc. this would just expand the gameplay and immerse u deeper into the time and era imo

I'm w/ Kyodai, more diplomacy. Plus, another post on the boards here mentioned adding military organization (i.e. rank system and the ability to choose who your general would be, assign lieutenant, sargeant, etc. to your men). I really liked that idea, even if it is a little out of the question. If they could tweak the campaign AI to make princesses more amenable to marrying my boys that wouldn't be bad.

people keep mentioning new and/or improved information panels that you can bring up describing some things in more detail. One that let you review your governors would be nice, and perhaps something that compared your income/military might/etc. to that of your opponents w/out the annoying and vague messages you occasionally get.

And movies. The intro is nifty enough, but some in game stuff would really seal the deal on an already incredible game. Maybe something for each of the possible endings (60%, conquer world, GA goals, etc.) at least. Or even a coronation movie based onyour religion?
