Ok my one problem with this game is that i havent heard any1 giving the devlopers a pat on the back. So am i the only person who feels completely happy with the great effort of all those who contributed to the game?
i mean for the most part no1 can critisize sumthing they havent attempted to do like keep to deadlines, and get this to work, finish that, touch this up a little... just sum of the many constraints facing designers/programmers these days time is money. so why do u all critisize the game why not be grateful for the oportunity to play sutch an original and relatively untouched concept?
any suggestions r welcome but no moaners.
so lets hear it for total war http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

You just haven't been around long enough Knight_Yellow. There have been a long thread or two of nothing but praises to CA. Not that they don't deserve another one. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif
yes, a lot of people, including myself, have paid their dues and gave warm thanks to the people behind the game
the fact that I'm looking forward to my week end mainly because I'll finish my HRE campaign (by reaching the late period, the best for this faction) speaks volume...
And read those threads with critique and you will notice a lot of people defend the varioes things the others are mad about. But you know it is much easier to discuss improvements than it is to discuss what is good as it is.

No game is perfectly great though don't take any credit away from GA coz MTW is great, but not without its flaws. Nobody can expect all praise & no critics and that hasn't happened for any game in the market before or ever after. However most of the stuffs brought up by fellow gamers do help the makers improve the game-the patch can't be written without the feedbacks so all in all, critics are hard to the ears but good for the future of TW series, just igonore those senseless whinning and flaming. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif

I think people's feedback has been 99% useful even when it hasn't been 100% complimentary (although it's always very nice to get unadulterated praise :).
There've certainly been some threads set up specifically to congratulate us, and those spontaneous outbreaks of shared pleasure are much appreciated.
I don't think we don't have a problem with people criticising any aspect of a game, even if they have no specific idea on how to improve it. It would be ridiculous of us to expect everyone to become a game designer or to telepathically know the circumstances or experiences which led to whatever decision we made. Thoughts on possible improvements or different approaches are welcome, to be sure, but if something isn't "fun" then that's all you need to say.
With the exception of momentary irritations here and there about the way a handful of people have expressed their views, I've enjoyed corresponding with you all, and it's my impression that Medieval, imperfect in an imperfect world, has nevertheless left a lot of you very happy. Which, in all seriousness, has been its own reward for us. That, and all your money.

I love the game myself, and think they've done an excellent job. Especially since ive found the pause button, and dont have to hear my wife bitching during a huge fight heh. Anyways, theres a lot of people that get on just to gripe about something. Usually these are the people that have no initiative themselves to create. Not trying to dog anyone, but we all know there are some who just love to complain. Well im rambling, great job CA, as well as .Org guys.

Great work CA.
Right now, there is no better scene in a computer game than seeing a whole team of armies rout back and forth across the battlefield.
Plus, it gives me extra fun just to know that if some console tried to run this game, it would explode in flames. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif A true PC purist's game.

It is unfortunate that many people do negatively criticize the game. Truly unfortunate is that some take it to a personal level and try to insult people. As you said Gil "imperfect world". There is no point in that but forum like the Org are great for constructive criticism, and intelligent discussion. That's why the Org essentially has come to represent the TW community. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I have seen many praises for the game. I for one am very happy with this game. CA did a great job Hats off to you guys http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif Last night I was up till morning building up my Egyptian Empire, there is a heck of a lot to discover and learn about from this game. I definitely know a lot more about medieval warfare post MTW release than I ever did before. Just playing the game makes you want to research the units, empires, factions featured in the game. My amazon.com wish list just got a looot longer post MTW release. Already bought a book on the Janissaries and another one on The Crusades. I'm loving this game all the way, and am profiting from it’s educational aspect as well (I hope anyway LOL!http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif.
GIL PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZEEEEEEE make more great games like this, keep the Total War Franchise going and be sure that the dollas / sterling / euros will keep on flowing. Just like we all want em & like em to http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Hey who wants to be poor in this world where you can’t do anything without money. Well heck I'm even thinkin of buying the Rugby game from CA ROFL http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
OK bye now time to get back to me Empire http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Something not worth criticizing is...not worth criticizing.
MTW"s the best game I've played.

People complaining about details show how intense they have played the game. I don`t show up in forums to a game and complain that unit x is unbalanced in situation y if I didn`t play the game for more than an hour. I bought for example Black & White but I don`t want to discuss it because I was bored after a few hours. If I like a game I think about how it could even better.
Now, I`m playing MTW very extensively and it does get less months. This is going to match some of my major addictions like Diablo II. Playing MTW is a very special experience and can give a lot of impulses to a genre that suffers from repeat very easily.
CA, please go one making great games like this one
I don't hink there's anything wrong with constructive critisism http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

You lasted that long??
I think I got an hour tops. That was the biggest waste of a game.
MTW on the other hand.... It's the best. One complaint I do have, though, is that I can't play the damn thing during the week As soon as I get on and start playing, the next thing I know it's 2am Strictly weekends only unfortunately
