Need help with changing unit stats................

Ok does anyone know how to change the "cavalry attack bonus" and "cavalry defence bonus" for the spearmen?
Also I want to change so to make sure that the Swiss Pikesman can only be built in switzerland.
I wemt to the text file and type in this in the Swiss pikemen row:

NO_FACTION SWITZERLAND

It doesnt seem to be working cause when I run MTW it says "UNKNOWN UNIT ENCOUNTERED at Row 76 Column 2".

??? I would grealty apprecitae if someone could show me a guide to do this. Thanks.

Making units buildable in only cetain provinces is normally quite easy. For example highland clansmen contains -

YES, YES" NO_FACTION SCOTLAND "Missile

My impression is that post patch the swiss pikes work properly and can only be built in switzerland. The problem is that SAP's are the swiss factions royal guard unit. My SAP's have the following in their entry
-

, YES, YES" SWISS ALL_FACTIONS SWITZERLAND "Missile

the 'swiss' bit denoting which fation has them as royal guards. What i suggest you do, which i think is unnecesary, because i think they work is to place swiss in royal knights in the three relevant units and replace the line in SAPs with

, YES, YES" NO_FACTION SWITZERLAND "Missile

insure that it is:

, YES, YES" TAB TAB NO_FACTION TAB SWITZERLAND "Missile

It may well be the error you encountered beforehand was simply to do with the wrong number of TAB's that are used in the file to delimit the entries.

Anyhow. The other one is easier, find the line-

CHARGE_BONUS( 8 ), MELEE_BONUS( 3 ), DEFENCE_BONUS( 7 ), ARMOUR_LEVEL( 7 ),

in each unit's entry and change to your hearts content.
