Bribe a crusade? Is it still possible post patch? I used to bribe crusades alot, but I'm not sure if it's unfair to the ai so I stopped. Now the Spanish crusades are "sucking up" my English warriors and I'm considering bribery once again. I would appreciate any and all opinions on this, thanks.

Hmm I tried to bribe an Italian crusade last night thats stuck in my province. Im still pre patch and it wouldnt even give me the choice. How were you doing this?

Naagi,
I bribed them like any other army, usually as they are formed or just starting out. I wonder if it being in your province and possibly containing some of your men is why you were not able to.

Well I'm thinking this was a bug. I just tried bribing several crusades over several turns and wasn't given the option as Naagy said. I can remember at least 3 crusades I bribed as the HRE and 2 as the Polish in my first couple of campaigns. Someone else has had to be successful at this, I'm not losing my mind. I hope...

Man I was really hoping you were gonna say, "Yea just do this and that and the crusaders are your." Would have been nice to actually have some cavalry since ive pretty much ignored them most of my campaign. Though got a couple provinces pumping out pronanoi now, getting ready for the golden horde. Oh well, maybe ill buy some mercs.

I'm sorry... Keep trying though I SWEAR it happened I can't be the only one to experience this. I wish I still had those saved games and I wish I had asked if anyone else had done it. Instead my post may cause some grief. I thought for sure it was a feature but it seems not. Please don't smite me...

are you sure you arent bribing escort armies? sometimes the ai will send escort armies that are separate from the actual crusade army, but will follow along beside the crusade army. cause i cant bribe crusade armies either.
