a completely inoffensive name

I've never been absent from the org for 20 days at a time before. Since 2008, it's been a daily check in, even in recent years when the postings have slowed down quite a bit. I can tell that my work is going to occupy all my time and my profile will grow slowly more inactive.

In case I find myself too busy to continue posting here, just wanted to say I appreciate everyone here who has taken the time to argue and talk with me. Sorry for all the dumb and awkward stuff (including this post), I went straight from awkward teenager to angry/depressed 20-something year old. If I could I would delete it all.

When I have the money, I've been planning a trip to Europe. I'll make a post here when I do and maybe I'll get to meet some of you in person.

I didn't understand why Lemur, BQ, and the other mods were so defensive of the backroom standards when I first started posting**. Now I understand how difficult it is to have a normal conversation about politics with people. I learned a lot from shit-posting and even more when I tried. I feel like a real ass, so if any of those ~2008-2010 mods are still around, my full apologies.

PM me if any of you visits California.

**50 points in infractions and 24 warnings in total if anyone was curious

Well, let's hope you can maintain at least a ghostly presence here while your work keeps you busy. If not, then all the best to you in the future and I do hope you can pop in from time to time. Your metamorphosis from bad boy to up-standing patron was quite impressive. It is nice to see a behavior change go bad-to-good rather than good-to-bad for a change.

I trust that you will put your time away to good use, like by becoming the president of the US or founding a space rocket company.

I went straight from awkward teenager to angry/depressed 20-something year old.

A fair few of us on here will have done that.

Even when things are quiet hopefully people will keep checking in from time to time, somehow this place feels like home on the internet.

May goodness and mercy follow you for the rest of your days:bow:

Thank you for keeping debate alive and engaging :)

There is no such thing as work taking too much of your time, unless you are in charge of a nuclear missile program, flight control at a busy airport or something equivalent to that. For taff's sake, I work my butt off from 4 am to late in the night in the most hectic of days, but I always find the time to lurk around forums, shitpost or engage in meaningless internet arguments. Man must always have something else to do aside from work, otherwise he cracks in no time (I've seen it happen, it's not a myth and it can get pretty bad).
