We all have made our opinions known for an add-on through many threads. Lets sum them up in one

How can I not vote for Naval battles
How about A PROPER FRIGGIN MANUAL (yes I have read it properly)
I couldn't really choose any one of those on its own...
Well, the idea is which is the one you must have. Of course an add on could not ever consist from only one of those.But with a vote we could pass the opinion of the forum players about what the priorities should be.
All of them except 10 then...
Plus a proper friggin manual and AI generals running extra armies rather than having reinforcements.
An email based campaign would be great especially amoung friends.

Great poll, the only problem being, like a kid in a Candy store, I don't know what to choose.
I picked video images, because I loved them in STW & MI (though Geisha's got a bit repetative once she was on a roll).
Ideally, any add on will be able to add many of these features, rather than just a specific one.

Smaller campains like Shogun,1 turn per sesason.
A little bit more to the strategy side of the game in general.

As I have already said, I ask to vote what is more importand for the players. I wrote the proper title for the poll, but because of a mistake of mine most of it was erased.
Of course if there is an add on witch contains multiplayer campaign, then it is propable that it will be that only. On the other hand many easy changes to gameplay is more possible to be all included in an add-on.
I voted for diplomacy as I believe that it will raise the whole gameplay and game depth "verticaly" (exp?)
How could I not vote for better AI? As it stands the AI is pretty good; far better in the tactical battles than on the strategic map, but it could use some serious improvement. The AI engages in too many multi-front wars, its fleet management leaves alot to be desired, it leaves too many troops in provinces bordering allied factions when those troops are desperately needed elsewhere, etc...
The more I think about it the more I think improving the AI should be the top priority for the developers. Sure, I'd love more features, factions and the like but the key to this game's longevity is the AI.

Improve the castle battles.
1. change victory conditions so the assualters have to breach all walls ie get beyond them. and put a door in the keep which u have to break down. (im really pushin for this one.)
2. change how u can garrison 10 troops in a castle and it holds forwever. u should not penalised so severly for having a large garrison in your provence come seige time.
In a x pack i would love to see the parts that could not be implemented in mtw put in with regards to castles.
eg men on walls, burning pitch, rams, seige ladders and towers etc.
It would also be good to have a simple map and castle editor that can be used quickly and easily by amateurs such as myself.
to having a indepth castle battle would add to replaybility of mtw a thosand fold because it introduces totaly new gameplay. at the moment castle battles are a bit too similar to a regular field battle.
and as always the better the ai gets the more enjoyable the game. although at the moment the ai is pretty hot. well done eat cold steel and others who worked on it.

Well, someone made a good arguement for AI so I voted that, but I still like them all except 10.

Well, I think they will finally make a good diplomacy mode. I mean everybody asks for it since STW. They didn't do it in MI or MTW, it is pretty possible to see it now. If I should have to choose a some of those to compose a full add-on,(thinking in the limits of what can be done, not what I want-because I want it all and more than that) then I would choose diplomacy, tactical naval battles, and tabs.
Tabs wouldn't take up too much to make, tactical naval battle is something big but it could share space with diplomacy improvements.
Are they working on an expansion pack for mtw?
I'm not so sure that naval battles could be done in a convincing way with the Total War engine...
The hardest aspect to deal with would be the terrain. If they could make 10-20 believable sea maps (others with coasts others with searocks etc) then ships wouldn't be much of a problem. They could make huge siege engines. Ship types are few.
Every ship type should have :
Crew number: 10-20
Ship Attack/Defence/Health/Speed
missile and rock bombardement would be the attack mode. (like in siege weapons)
Crew valour affects all the above.
Ship control should be slow and difficult for the player and wind should affect much the gameplay.
Other aspects could be the mode to capture ships (apart from destroying them) via a resalto mode and the mode of saving crew members from the sea.
Of course such a feature is possible to take up the whole add-on space (well, diplomacy improvement could be included)

What do you mean 'Tabs for every aspect of the game'?
What I want in addition to the above list:
* Some tools for cutting down the strategic map micromanagement.
* REAL TIME campaign map, as well as email.
* Better castle sieges & siege engines (e.g. position archers around battlements, ladders, boiling oil, MOATS, mobile siege towers etc etc etc).
I mean tables like those of diplomacy and regions where you can inspect many many other elements and informations of the game.

I chose 'add tabs'
My meaning woud mean adding tabs to units/agents so we could see what they are doing or order them to 'go home' or 'kill enemy in own region' etc

I just had to vote for add diplomacy. Just think about all you could do if you'd only had more options
And indeed also more tools to help ease up micro-management.

i voted for diplomacy as well , i think there is a lot of room for further development and realism in diplomacy. and i would vote for 'add more statistical data' if it existed
Yeah, that exists already. It's option #1 Add Tabs.

Here is something I would like to see in an add on. I would like to have the ability to upgrade units to other units. For example, if I had a six star general emerge but was made in a unit of peasants or urban militia or something, I would like to be able to "upgrade" his command to something else, preferably a unit of knights. He is afterall a good general who will command a large army. One would have to think he would be a noble and thus have a horse and armor. At least once he has gained enough recognition by the throne, such an honor would be bestowed on him. Anyway, to upgrade should cost whatever it costs to build that unit type and would give us the opportunity to "reward" our good generals. although I voted for diplomacy, I also really wanted to make a change at the current general unit. As I have posted in anther tread, I want the general units as an unique unit, usually a heavy cavlry of somesort depends on the region, and should be able to be trained in war acadamy or hire/buy from Inn etc. It is frustrating that you started with a good urban militia general who have to stay out of battle later in the game coz the rest of the army/enemy are all chivaric unis/knights that you wont like to risk the life of the 8 star urban militia general.

more sophisticated seiges.
the attackers could have engineers and sappers to tunnel under the walls and bring them down, units with ladders and battering rams.
castles should have moats. you should be able to control each tower of the castle if defending to target a particular unit, and of course burning tar and so on.
if an assault is automatic the computer just counts the amount of men the defenders kill and doesnt count the amount of men who die from the fortifications too.
I don't know why Hungary was never made into a major faction. They stopped the friggin Golden Horde Instead we get Polish... Why? Same story with the Novgorods.

will be a lot of help if we can group spies. since we don't just use 1 spy (often ten or more) to incite a revolt then as it is now moving every little thing one by one from one end to another is a pain in the rear http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
If we can group them as a team then we can just move altogether ten or more in just one drop.
