For newbies... My clan-xperience!

I just want to share with you who are just starting to get the feel for the MP-game and are taking a liking to it, get in a clan!

I have to say, the experience so far, as I joined (rather, was allowed to join) European Crusader´s, has been nothing but superb. Their commitment to raise up a new "brother" and help me refine my tactics as well as gaining a stern heart for MP-battle, has been nothing but marvellous!

There is friendship, teaching and unity, as well as the pride of belonging.

I am certain that my xperience won't be unique, lots of clans out there are probably just as caring for their young warriors, but it is hard to see what they could have done to make me feel more welcome.

As for all you oldies. Take an apprentice in, he/she will enjoy that immensely and you can feel the honour of fatherhood, in both defeat and victory as your disciple grow. The longelivity of the game depends not only on the ones who were there when all kicked off, but also on the rising generation of players.

Huge amounts of Kudos to the fighters in European Crusader´s... It is most welcomed!

I agree with EuroSmisker. I was a ronin for a long time. Then I decided to start a clan. It was great because people who are in your clan are people that you like (or should like) and get on well with. You train with them. Being a clan will also help to communicate better with them, so you can arrange time to play as a team in a big group. I now have 7 active members in my clan, and they we are great friends too.

i know how you feel...usually i try to give tips to the newbies if they want it....and train some if they really want to get better no matter if they join my clan or not...i think its like giving back to the community....
i was a newbie once and had to fight my way alone....
i mostly observe other or ask question but was never really have a mentor....it would have been better if i had one....
now i try to be a mentor of such to the newer players....

I have had STW for probably 3 months and haven't had time to play for so long. What helped me the most is when people xplain after I had lost (which was usually the case) and gave me a rematch with them as attacker and me on defend. They basically showed me how it should have been done.

I'm thinking about getting into multiplayer

Is there a list a clans and what their philosophy is? Or does it not really matter which one you join?

If you look at the .org's startpage, you have a good list of clans. Snoop around and ask questions. Go multiplayer and get a feel for the game (100% different experience compared to SP). Ask the people you've played for some tips and insights, refine and hone your skill and then go play some clan-folks. You will recognice them, cause their names start with something that they all share.

European Crusader´s all have
Euro- in front of their names and if you look at this thread you will see names you could compare with the clan list on .org's start page. Good luck in finding a clan.

There is a honour society and they guarantee that their members are commited to obey what the community has found to be honourable rules/guidelines for STW. Check it out, a lot of people in their list are clan-leaders or members and their clan are surely influenced by their standards.
