I've played this game more often than I care to think about since it's release but only yesterday noticed the following.
A battle in a coastal province spilled over on to the beach. As I was chastising the fleeing enemy mightily I noticed that the sea was ebbing and flowing onto the beach, the fallen enemy horsemen's bodies bobbing in the surf. (Well not quite but that's the impression they gave.) And whats more you could hear the waves breaking on the sand.
I was so impressed by this phenomenon that the rest of the enemy escaped while my attention was elsewhere.
I don't recall this in MI - definitely not the sound anyway.
