Has anyone noticed that some missle units dont actually fire missles the first time you tell them to? Napatha throwers for example? Strange this one ive seen it alot, It says firing but they dont

i've noticed it with siege engines - even when you have a green icon, then click to fire, they don't (sometimes there seems to be trees in the way, sometimes nothing) but i've not seen it with mobile missile units

It may be because the missile velocities do not always match the range set for the weapon. The range column in the projectilestats.txt file only sets the range at which the missile targeting cursor turns green, not the actual range, which is the projectile's velocity squared and divided by four. Or thereabouts.
For example, the longbowmen at the moment actually can't shoot at range 6000, if you give 'em a fire command at the extreme range, they may appear to draw their bows as if to shoot but they can't. They'll then march a little closer and try again.
That's because their missile velocity of 150 only allows a range of around 5625. Other units like naphtha throwers may suffer from this as well.

Yes but it shows as firing then the missle unit has to reload b4 firing for the FIRST time when it should be the second volley, Napatha throwers do this alot

ok, i think the problem with your grenade guys is in the projectilestats.txt.
The projectile grenade has a "Shoot Immediated" value set to yes, this means they wont reload before firing the first shot, but this wont always work, just set it to "n" and it should work fine, just go to the file, locate the grenade line and replace the first "y" from left to right with a "n".
