CTD on start up

I download Eb2.2 and followed the steps as shown on the url

on ending my first turn on my new Rome Campaign, I get a CTD with error title "Unspecified Error"

cant find the log file present in eb2 folder tried using search as well. its as if no error log was made.

Any assistance would be just great.

Did you follow the instructions - ie download 2.2b, install outside of Program Files, and make sure that's working, then patch to 2.2h?

yeah as as i said, i installed the game, on the bottom of the game menu it does say 2.2h. i start the a new roman campaign, the game loads, I end my first turn, all the other factions have their turn, and then the ctd occurs. i wish i could give an error log, but it was not generated or i could not locate it.
