well today ive been playing my campagin a little more, and have decided it is ime to begin to raise an army for my conquest of europe.

after getting a lot of my own turkish forces, i began to tire of some of thier weaknesses, so instead i have been raising a grand army in Livonia

the provience when captured was about 50/50 orthodox christian, it revolted rater quickly, so i withdrew my armies and had a brainwave. Now i am causing rebellions there, then bribing these strong armies to join my force. So far i have managed to get about 10 units of lancer and about 15 units of byzantine cavalry this way, amongst other non-muslim troops. in a amter of ten years i gained close to 7k troops from here.

The best part is my turkish empire is economically sound with over 1,000,000 florins in the coffers, and gaining aobut 25k each turn after expences

I also like to bribe christian armies when I play muslim factions and vise versa. I play now as Turkey and my cash is worth 1,5 mln florins. So it's not a question for me to spend 100-200K for bribing mission. And I use now my christian feudal foot knights as bodyguards of my sultan:)
And everywhere I look for arbs and pav arbs whether they are bribed or hired as mercs.

I mod the game so that units that need a specific province to build can supply that troop type to anyone who owns it Ie alamohad conquer scotland and are able to build clansmen, byzantine take armenia and are able to take armenian h cav, makes the game more interesting imo to set your sights on these key provinces to get different troop types http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Thanks for that bit of info/tip.
Interesting, I'm playing Biz., early.
Sounds like a great way to get hold of some great units, that other factions possess. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
