MTW - Online Playability ...Is it possible ?

Hello fellow MTW'ers .....

Excuse the newbie question , as I've never gamed live online .
So is it possible to play this old classic online over the net ?
Just two pc connected to each other .
In its most simplistic way , Custom Battles 1v1 .

AFAIK you could do it on the original MTW copy, yes.

Not sure of the terminolgy as i dont understand it well enough ,.... But thanks .
I,'ll put it this way ..
Can two friends from opposite ends of the globe log in somewhere ? Or link there two pc' at the sametime n have a 1 v 1 battle ?

There used to be a thing called Gamespy for MTW which allowed you to do exactly that. However Gamespy was shut down and maybe Steam will work out as MP now.

It would be great if Steam gets it up n running n it also works with mods also .
Re ,, macsens Ancients mods and his new Game of Thrones which feature graphics by Duke John ,the HTW , Yan , Leith and myself .
