EB 2.3 quick save crash

Windows 7, fresh disk install, installed outside of Program files.
Game crashed when quick saved, attempting to load the save causes a crash.

Sounds like a corrupt save, then. It's recommended to make manual saves with different file names every 5-10 turns so you can go back in case of save corruption.

e.g. Romani-5, Romani-10, etc so you have an easy record.
